Poddomkrachivaniye and towage

For a poddomkrachivaniye the car should be parked on a plain horizontal surface, whenever possible with a hard coating. In the presence of the slightest bias it is necessary will take care of precautionary measures against kickback: prop up the wheel located on diagonal from a subject to removal by antiretractable boots, firmly cock the parking brake and transfer the selector lever to situation "P". Try not to depart far from the poddomkrachenny car, especially if nearby there are children.
Before poddomkrachivat the car, take off a decorative cap and a balloon key weaken nuts of fastening of the wheel which is subject to replacement. Prepare the spare wheel.

Get a jack under the car. Take care of reliability of gearing of a head of a jack. Rotating the jack handle, lift the car so that the wheel which is subject to replacement came off the earth. Having thrown off fixing nuts, remove a wheel and establish on its place spare. Screw wheel nuts, then lower the car on the earth, remove a jack and hold on nuts of fastening of a wheel in a diagonal order with the required effort. Establish into place a cap. Put and remove the tool. Do not forget to put away antiretractable boots.
When carrying out more serious, than replacing a wheel, repair work under the car, besides a jack, are usually started special props.

Do not perform any repair work under the car enshrined in the lifted provision by means of only one jack! Surely use reliable props!

Towage

Strictly speaking, the emergency vehicle should be towed with the driving (forward) wheels which are torn off from the earth (best of all in general on a tow truck platform). In emergency situations towage of the car for towing eyes is allowed. If it is necessary to make towage of the car without separation of forward or back wheels, disconnect the corresponding driveshaft from assembly of differential of the bridge, transfer the selector lever to the neutral provision, and the switch of interaxal differential – in position of OFF (Otkl.).

If the car is towed with a separation from the earth of back wheels, lobbies have to be blocked in rectilinear situation by means of special adaptation, and the ignition key should be turned in position of ACC or ON in order to avoid damage of the lock of blocking of a wheel. At the corresponding complete set disconnect naves of free rotation.

Use at towage of the emergency vehicle the towing sling which is only specially intended for this purpose which can be got cheap practically in any shop of automobile accessories. The sling has to cling only to the bearing body elements and in which case not for a bumper.

Do not forget to turn a key in the lock of ignition of the towed car in position of ACC or ON, otherwise inevitably there will be a blocking of a steering column. Besides, at the included ignition also indexes of turns and stoplights are activated.

Remember that at the switched-off engine efficiency of braking of the car considerably decreases because the vacuum amplifier of brakes ceases to function. At the same time it is necessary to squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake with a little big, than usually by effort. On the models equipped with the power steering (GUR) when performing maneuvering the bigger effort should be put as well to a steering wheel.

The driver of the towed vehicle has to try to hold constantly a towing sling in the tense situation in order to avoid breakthroughs and accidents of running-down him wheels.

Before a start of motion drivers of both vehicles (towing and towed) should coordinate among themselves a route.

The movement has to be carried out only with moderate speeds, along the shortest route and observance of traffic regulations. Avoid sharp braking, accelerations and maneuvering.
