Procedures of service of the petrol engine

General information

The V-shaped 8-cylinder petrol engine (V8) of 4.7 l (2UZ-FE) is installed on the Toyota Land Cruiser cars since 1998. Each of heads of cylinders is equipped by two distributive shaft of the top arrangement (DOHC design). About four valves (2 inlet and two final), – only 32 valves are the share of each of cylinders.

Descriptions of the most part of the considered procedures are made on the basis of the assumption that the power unit remains on the regular place in a motive compartment of the car. In view of told in case the engine is already dismantled and installed on a workbench or the assembly stand, many of the described steps have to be lowered.
