Removal, check of a state and installation of a gas-distributing belt and cogwheels of the GRM drive
Exact observance of phases of gas distribution is very important, but for DOHC engines important extremely. Incorrect installation of phases can seriously damage the engine. Be accurate at installation of a belt of the GRM drive and before the first start after repair double-check coincidence of tags.
Assembly of the GRM drive
|1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Remove protection of a case.
If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!
3. Merge cooling liquid from a radiator and the block of the engine (see the Head of the Cooling system of the engine, heating of salon and air conditioning).
4. Remove a radiator (see the Head of the Cooling system of the engine, heating of salon and air conditioning).
5. Uncover the throttle case.
6. Remove an inlet air duct.
7. Take off a driving belt with the coupling and a pulley of a bent shaft.
8. Without disconnecting hydraulic tubes, remove the pump GUR, take it aside and tie up it so that it did not disturb.
9. Having turned off a bolt, then having uncovered, shoot an intermediate video of a driving belt (address an illustration above).
10. Remove the right cover (right No. 3) a GRM drive belt.
11. Remove the left cover (left No. 3) a GRM drive belt. Be careful at a detachment of conducting of the sensor of position of the camshaft (CMP).
12. Remove the following cover of a GRM belt (cover No. 2).
13. Without disconnecting tubes To/in, remove the K/V compressor, take it aside and tie up there that did not disturb.
14. Remove a fan arm. For its fastening bolts of the different size are used – put them so that not to mix at installation.
16. Weaken, but do not turn out a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft. Deduction of a bent shaft from a provorachivaniye will require the special tool.
||15. If the belt of the GRM drive has to be established back, find on it three adjusting tags, rotating a bent shaft clockwise. Find tags on cogwheels of a bent shaft and camshafts. If tags on a belt were erased, put new to facilitate installation (address an accompanying illustration).
17. Install the cylinder No. 1 piston in compression step VMT.
18. Having turned off two bolts, remove a natyazhitel of a belt of the GRM drive and a boot. If only the natyazhitel of a belt is replaced, fix a belt on a pulley by a wire. Apply tags on a belt and a cogwheel of the right camshaft.
- Turn a pulley of a bent shaft so that its risk It was combined with a tag to a GRM belt cover No. 1.
- Check coincidence of tags on cogwheels of camshafts with tags on back covers of a GRM belt. If tags do not coincide, the cylinder No. 1 piston in VMT of a step of compression is not installed. Turn a bent shaft precisely on one turn before the following combination of a tag of a pulley with a tag 0 on a GRM drive belt cover No. 1.
- Turn off a bolt of a pulley of a bent shaft, trying not to bring down tags. Do not rotate a pulley of a bent shaft.
19. Take off a belt from cogwheels of camshafts. For this purpose weaken a belt tension between cogwheels of camshafts, having put on a cap key a bolt of fastening of an asterisk of the left camshaft and having slightly turned it clockwise.
21. Remove the generator.
||20. For removal of cogwheels of camshafts the bifurcate tool record a cogwheel from a provorachivaniye and turn off the central bolt (address an accompanying illustration). Try not to turn cogwheels.
22. Remove a natyazhitel of a driving belt.
23. For removal of a pulley of a bent shaft the central bolt has to be already turned out. Pull together a pulley from a sock of a bent shaft with the stripper suitable for this purpose. Do not turn a bent shaft not to bring down the VMT installation.
24. Remove the lower cover of a belt of the GRM drive (cover No. 1).
25. Remove the directing washer and a pro-rate of a cover.
26. Take off a GRM drive belt from the engine. If the belt has to be established back, and adjusting tags on it were erased, put new rather dot tag on a cogwheel of a bent shaft.
27. If it is necessary, shoot intermediate videos and check smoothness of their rotation.
28. If it is necessary to remove a cogwheel of a bent shaft, pull together it with a suitable stripper. Try not to shift a bent shaft with VMT.
|1. Check a condition of a belt of the GRM drive. Do not bend it at an acute angle and do not turn inside out. Do not allow hit on a belt of oil, water, antifreeze or solvents. If there are damages of teeths of a belt, check whether camshafts are blocked. If there is a noticeable wear or cracks on a back surface of a belt, check absence of damage of a surface of rollers and a pulley of the water pump. At detection of unilateral wear of a belt check parallelism of pulleys and their axes, the directing washer. If there is a noticeable wear of teeths of a belt, damages of covers of a belt or teeths of cogwheels are possible. For an otvorachivaniye of bolts of fastening of cogwheels of camshafts do not use a GRM drive belt tension.
3. Check lack of a leak of the water pump. The pump has to rotate smoothly, without side plays.
||2. Check a condition of intermediate rollers. Check integrity of consolidations of their bearings. If it is necessary, replace rollers. Check lack of a leak of a natyazhitel. Try to push a rod – it should not move. If the rod manages to be pushed, replace a natyazhitel. Measure a rod ledge – it has to be equal to 10.5 - 11.5 mm (address an accompanying illustration).
|1. If acted, establish a cogwheel of a bent shaft, having combined a spline it is not mute with a flute. Perhaps, it will be required to napressovat accurately a cogwheel on a shaft by means of a suitable piece of a pipe.
2. Establish intermediate rollers. Apply several drops of the fixing Loctite 242 sealant or similar on a carving of bolts. Tighten bolts with effort of 35 Nanometers. Check smoothness of rotation of rollers.
3. Temporarily establish a GRM drive belt. Carefully clear cogwheels and rollers of oil and water, wipe them with pure dry rags. Do not use solvents. Combine an adjusting tag of a belt with a tag of a cogwheel of a bent shaft. Put on a belt a cogwheel of a bent shaft and pulleys of parasitic rollers.
4. Establish a GRM belt cover pro-rate.
5. Establish the directing washer by the convex party outside.
6. Establish a cover of a belt of the GRM drive and fix it by four bolts.
7. Establish a pulley of a bent shaft. Combine a spline with a cut and establish a pulley. For this purpose, perhaps, it is necessary to napressovat a pulley by means of a piece of a suitable pipe.
8. Establish a natyazhitel of a driving belt (not a GRM belt). A bolt 106 mm long and nuts tighten 16 Nanometers with effort.
9. Install the generator.
10. Check the provision of a pulley of a bent shaft. Risk on a pulley it has to be combined with a tag 0 on a GRM drive belt cover.
11. Establish cogwheels of camshafts. Put on cogwheels, having combined their openings with pins of camshafts. Holding cogwheels from a provorachivaniye the bifurcate tool, tighten bolts of their fastening with effort of 108 Nanometers. Carefully clear cogwheels and dry wipe them with pure rags. Do not use solvents.
12. Establish a belt on cogwheels of camshafts:
- Turn a cogwheel of the left camshaft before combination of its tag of gas distribution with an adjusting tag on a GRM drive belt. Put on a belt a cogwheel.
- Turn a cogwheel of the left camshaft counterclockwise that the belt tension on a shoulder between cogwheels of the left camshaft and a bent shaft appeared.
- Turn a cogwheel of the right camshaft before combination of an adjusting tag of a belt with a tag of gas distribution of a cogwheel. Put on a belt a cogwheel.
13. By means of a press press a rod of a natyazhitel. For this purpose the effort about 981-987 N. Sovmestite of an opening of a rod and the case of a natyazhitel will be required and insert a pin with a diameter of 1.27 mm to record a rod. Release a press and put on a boot. Install a natyazhitel on the engine and tighten alternately bolts of its fastening the moment of 26 Nanometers. Having established to a natyazhitel, take a pin flat-nose pliers.
14. Check gas distribution tags. Temporarily establish a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft. Slowly turn a bent shaft clockwise on two whole revolutions. Verify coincidence of tags of gas distribution on cogwheels and a pulley.
15. If tags of gas distribution coincide, tighten a bolt of fastening of a pulley the moment of 245 Nanometers. Deduction of a pulley from a provorachivaniye will require the bifurcate tool.
16. Establish a fan arm. Establish bolts of fastening of an arm on the places. Bolts drag on as follows:
- Bolts with heads of 12 mm tighten 16 Nanometers with effort.
- Bolts with heads of 14 mm tighten the moment 32 Nanometers.
17. Install the K/V compressor (at the corresponding complete set).
18. Establish a cover No. 2 of a belt of the GRM drive and tighten two bolts of its fastening with effort of 16 Nanometers.
19. Establish the right cover of a belt of the GRM drive. Tighten bolts and a nut with effort of 7.5 Nanometers.
20. Establish the left cover of a GRM belt:
- Establish an oil cooler tube, having fixed it by a nut with a bolt.
- Carry out conducting of the CMP sensor through an opening in a cover.
- Establish a GRM drive belt cover, having combined it with a fan arm.
- Tighten a bolt and a nut with effort of 7.5 Nanometers.
- Establish a sealant of conducting of the sensor in a cover, attach the socket and attach it to an arm.
- Fix conducting of the engine.
21. Establish an intermediate roller of a driving belt and tighten its bolt the moment of 39 Nanometers.
22. Install the pump GUR and tighten bolts the moment of 17 Nanometers.
23. You make installation of the remained components as it should be the return to an order of their dismantle.
24. Start the engine and make sure of lack of leakages and extraneous noises.
