Removal and installation of the block and heat exchanger of a heater

Some of the cars considered in the present manual are equipped with system of additional safety (SRS) better known as a safety cushion. Before performing any works near assembly of a pillow or a steering column, without fail disconnect system in order to avoid getting injured as a result of its casual operation (see. Onboard electric equipment). Isolation and contact sockets of an electrical wiring of a chain of SRS are painted in bright yellow color. 1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

Forward heater
Details of installation of a forward heater

1. Having asked for the help the expert, discharge To/in and remove the К/В evaporator.
2. In a motive compartment disconnect heating hoses from the heater heat exchanger branch pipes passed through a back partition, remembering their situation (address an illustration above). Push rubber a sealant in salon. At once to a zakuporta the open ends of branch pipes for the purpose of prevention of spraying of cooling liquid at extraction of the heat exchanger.
3. Remove the central console, assembly and an intensifying bar of the dashboard (see the Head Kuzov and Onboard electric equipment).
4. Under the dashboard disconnect air ducts from the heater case.
5. Disconnect cables of management from the heater block, trying not to bend them.
6. Remove a spring clamp of a cable of management that it was possible to manipulate it.
7. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the fan.
8. Give bolts of fastening of the case of a heater to the dashboard and remove the heater case, having pulled it on themselves and down.
9. Prepare enough rags for collecting the spreading cooling liquid.
10. Remove fastenings of the heat exchanger to the case, remove slips and collars. Take out the heat exchanger from the case up.
11. Assembly is made upside-down. Track reliability of tightening of hose collars. Before installation of the heat exchanger try it compressed air.
12. Adjust each cable so that the course of gates corresponded to the provision of control levers:
a. Install the handle of management on dashboards in situation FRESH. Lift an adjusting clamp and delay a cable of control of the gate of external air from the case. Release an adjusting clamp;
b. Install the handle of management on the front panel in position of DEF. Lift an adjusting clamp and move a cable of management towards a heater before receiving the maximum course of the lever. Release an adjusting clamp;
page. Install the handle of management in the provision of "COOL". Lift an adjusting clamp and move a cable of management of a damper of mixing of air towards the heater case to receive the maximum course of the lever.
13. Fill the cooling system, connect the battery and start the engine. Make sure of lack of signs of development of leaks, estimate serviceability of functioning of system of heating. |

1. Disconnect hoses from heater branch pipes (address the illustration Assembly of a Back Heater).
2. Remove front seats.
3. Remove knot of management of a heater (address an illustration of the Detail of installation of a back heater).
4. Remove the back console and a cover of the forward console.
5. Remove a back slip in the lower part of the central console.
6. Remove overlays of a threshold at a forward door, forward side overlays, overlays of thresholds of back doors and an overlay of the central rack.
7. Turn off a carpet and remove a conditioner arm.
8. Give a bolt and the screw then remove a heater air duct.
9. Disconnect the socket of conducting of the fan.
10. Give bolts of fastening of the block of a heater and remove the heater block, trying not to spill cooling liquid in salon.
