Check of serviceability of functioning of a driving electric motor of the fan of a heater and its replacement

The cars considered in the present manual are equipped with system of additional safety (SRS) better known as a safety cushion. Before performing any works near assembly of a pillow or a steering column, without fail disconnect system in order to avoid getting injured as a result of its casual operation, – disconnect from the battery at first a negative, then positive wire and wait not less than two minutes before starting service of the components located near sensors of the directed overloads (see. Onboard electric equipment). Isolation and contact sockets of an electrical wiring of a chain of SRS are painted in bright yellow color. It is not necessary to connect any diagnostic units to this chain!

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!

Check
|
|
|
|
1. At a basic equipment the fan of a heater is a part of assembly of a cooler To/in and is located under the dashboard on the right (address an accompanying illustration). On the models which are in addition equipped with a back heater of salon, the fan of a heater is located under a passenger seat. At refusal or violation of serviceability of functioning of the fan of a heater first of all check a state and reliability of fastening of all terminal connections of the corresponding electric chain. Make sure of completeness of a charge of the battery. Estimate a condition of the corresponding safety lock (see. Onboard electric equipment). Also the probability of failure of a driving electric motor is not excluded. |
2. Find the fan electrical wiring socket.
3. If the motor does not function, disconnect from it an electrical wiring, include ignition and make sure of serviceability of giving of food, at the switched-on fan on the socket battery tension has to take place. If tension is absent, therefore, malfunction of an electrical wiring in a power-supply circuit on the site between the switch of ignition and the switch of the choice of the high-speed mode of the fan, the switch of management of functioning of the fan, the main relay of a heater, or electrical wiring on the site of a chain between the switch and an electric motor takes place.
4. If tension of the battery is present, connect an electrical wiring to the motor, from the back party of contact knot connect a wire crossing point to the plug No. 2 of the socket and ground it on weight, – if the fan does not start working, it is necessary to check a condition of an electric motor. By means of the wire crossing point protected by a safety lock give food directly on one of contact plugs of the motor, ground the second plug, – if the motor does not begin to rotate, replace it.

5. At a serviceable electric motor it is necessary to check a condition of resistive assembly and the switch of the choice of the high-speed mode of the fan, – remove assembly the control panel (see. Onboard electric equipment) also check distribution of provodimost between switch plugs in each of its provisions. Remove resistive assembly and check it for existence of conductivity between the corresponding contact plugs (address an accompanying illustration). |

Replacement
|

|
|
1. If there is a need for replacement of an electric motor of the drive of the fan of a heater, disconnect from it an electrical wiring and air ducts then remove its fastenings and lower the fan down (address an accompanying illustration). In case of need the krylchatka can be removed and rearranged on a new electric motor. For the purpose of ensuring access to an electric motor of the back fan on models of the corresponding complete set it is necessary to remove a passenger seat (see the Head Kuzov). |

2. Replacement of an electric motor of the fan of a back heater demands removal of the K/V evaporator for what it is necessary to discharge the K/V system at car repair shop. Give 4 screws and uncover an electric motor. Give four screws and unhook three spring clamps then remove the heater case (address an accompanying illustration). |

3. Give a nut and remove a krylchatka of the fan (address an accompanying illustration).
|
|
|
4. Give the screw and remove a fan electric motor (address an accompanying illustration). |
5. Installation is made upside-down. Track reliability of tightening of fixture. Check the level of cooling liquid, start the engine and make sure of lack of leaks and of serviceability of functioning of the fan. |
