 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. As elastic elements on the Land Cruiser Amazon models the torsion bars using the principle of elasticity of twisting are applied. The torsion bars are established parallel to the road. It gives the chance of design of more compact designs of suspension brackets and the best controllability of a suspension bracket as there is no need for the big courses of an elastic element. The torsion bars usually are in the loaded state and at their removal care is required.

After removal of the torsion bars it is very important not to mix them in places; if necessary put with tag paint, pointing to the forward and back end of the torsion bar and the party of the car from which it is removed (address an illustration).

If to establish them not on the place or "back to front", the torsion bars can break. New torsion bars are marked by letters L (left) or R (right) and the arrow specifying in the direction of the twisting loading (address an illustration).

2. Cock the parking brake. Weaken nuts of fastening of the corresponding forward wheel, a front of the car and establish to a poddomkratta it on props. Remove a wheel.
3. At the corresponding complete set remove protection of a case.
4. Apply tags on the torsion bar, anchor and torsion levers (address an illustration at the beginning of the Section).
5. Measure distance "And" between an adjusting bolt of the anchor lever and a frame (address an accompanying illustration). It will be required at assembly.
6. Weaken the anchor lever before full weakening of the torsion bar.
7. Measure distance "In". It will be required at assembly (address an accompanying illustration).
8. Turn out an adjusting bolt from the anchor lever.
9. Remove saddles of the anchor lever.
10. Remove the torsion bar with the anchor lever.
11. Remove the anchor lever from the torsion bar and rearrange it on a new bar.
12. Give two nuts with bolts and remove the torsion bar.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Install the torsion lever, having wrapped bolts with nuts with the required effort.
2. Install a bar in the torsion lever.
3. Establish saddles and an adjusting bolt.
4. Compare length of an adjusting bolt with measured in removal process.
5. Tighten an adjusting bolt so that the distance "And" conformed to requirements of Specifications.
6. If you establish an old torsion bar, install it in the anchor lever, combine previously put tags. Then, having combined tags of a bar and the torsion lever, install the torsion.
7. Tighten an adjusting bolt so that the distance "And" was equally measured at removal.
8. Further installation is made upside-down.
