Check of functioning of system of ignition
|
In view of the fact that in system of ignition very high voltage is developed, service of its components has to be made with extra care. This remark belongs not only to the main knots of electronic system of ignition, but also and to all accompanying components, including tips of coils of ignition, a tachometer and the other diagnostic equipment.

|
1. Remove ignition coils (with the switchboard) from spark plugs. 2. Remove spark plugs. 3. Install candles in coils of ignition and attach the electric socket of the coil of ignition. 4. Disconnect electric sockets from all fuel injectors. 5. Ground spark plugs.

6. Turn the engine and be convinced available sparks on candles (address an accompanying illustration). |
|
Not to fill in the engine with gasoline, turn the engine not further of 5 - 10 seconds at one time. |
7. If there is no spark, check receipt of power supply for the ignition coil:
a. Do not disconnect the battery at the working engine; b. Include ignition; c. Be convinced available tension on a conclusion (+) coils; d. If tension is, check CKP and CMP sensors.
8. Turning the engine, be convinced available bright blue sparks between electrodes of spark plugs.

When conducting this check to prevent fuel injection, turn the engine no more than 1 - 2 seconds for reception.

9. If there is no spark, execute the following:
a. Do not disconnect the battery at the working engine; b. Check a condition of contacts in sockets of conducting of the coil of ignition. If contacts as it should be, follow further; c. Check receipt of supply voltage for the coil and the switchboard. Include ignition. Check presence of tension of the battery on a positive conclusion of the coil. If there is no tension, check conducting between the switch of ignition and the coil with the switchboard If conducting as it should be, follow further. d. Check resistance of coils of ignition. If resistance do not correspond to ordered, replace the coil. If resistance as it should be, follow further; e. Check CMP sensor resistance. If resistance is incorrect, replace the sensor if it is right, continue check; f. Check CKP sensor resistance. If resistance is incorrect, replace the sensor if it is right, continue check; g. If there is no spark and in this case, check conducting between ECU and the switchboard. If conducting as it should be, replace the switchboard. |
