Check and adjustment of installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition/injection of fuel of the petrol engine

In case of discrepancies with the data given on VECI label, preference should be given the last.

General information

The moment of ignition is measured in degrees of an angle of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine and is important for operation of spark plugs at some point of a compression step.

It is ideal if the spark from a spark plug sets fire to air-fuel mix in the combustion chamber at the time of passing by the compression step VMT piston. In this case air-fuel mix will burn down and extend. The extending gases will push the piston down in the working course, rotating, thus, a bent shaft.

For full ignition of working mix fractions of a second are required. Therefore observance of normal working process of combustion (full combustion of mix) in the engine requires some advancing of ignition. The advancing is measured in degrees to VMT. If the advancing of the engine makes 7 degrees to VMT, it means that tension on a candle has to arrive while the bent shaft is in 7 ° to VMT of a step of compression of the first piston. However, it is fair only for a case when the engine works at single turns.

If the bent shaft rotates quicker, so also pistons move quicker. Therefore for full combustion of mix of a candle have to set fire to it even earlier. To answer these conditions, ECU corrects the ignition moment according to increase in speed of rotation of the engine.

Electronic control the moment of ignition is known under the name ESA and is defined by the ECU program. Tracing the speed of rotation of a bent shaft, mass of the soaked-up air, the engine temperature, the provision of a butterfly valve and other factors, the ECU microprocessor operates the ignition moment on all power setting from cold start to the mode of full loadings. The system is simple, unregulated and reliable.

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature.
2. Attach the OBD II scanner to the diagnostic socket which is under the front panel from the driver.
3. Transfer the AT selector lever to situation "N".
4. At the switched-off ignition according to instructions of manufacturers connect a stroboscope. The majority of modern stroboscopes are equipped with the independent battery. The inductive sensor of a lamp is installed on VV a wire of a spark plug of the first cylinder.
5. Untwist the engine to 2500 rpm for one and a half minutes and return the engine on single turns (650 – 750 rpm).
6. Using a crossing point from a wire piece, you peremknit the E1 and TE1 plugs on the diagnostic DLC-1 socket under a cowl (address an accompanying illustration).
7. Check by means of a stroboscope finding of a tag of ignition within 5 – 15 ° before VMT on single turns (address an accompanying illustration).
8. Kill the engine and disconnect a stroboscope.
