Removal and installation of the antenna of the radio receiver

The description of the procedure of dismantle of the antenna of external type is given below. Some models are equipped with the antenna pasted on a windshield, service of such antennas lies outside qualification of the average amateur mechanic and it has to be entrusted to specialists of car service.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Remove the radio receiver and disconnect from it an antenna cable (see the Section Removal and installation of the audio system and its loudspeakers). "Walk" on an antenna cable, releasing it from intermediate clamps. Tie up a string piece by the end of a cable. The route of laying of a cable of the antenna is presented on an accompanying illustration.

The antenna with the fixed mast

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. By means of a small rozhkovy key of the suitable size turn out an antenna mast from the basis.

2. Give a nut of fastening of assembly of the basis of an antenna mast (address an accompanying illustration), use flat-nose pliers for removal of lock rings. Having pulled, take outside an antenna cable (leave the string of the mast passed throughout an opening under installation which is tied up to a cable. Carefully remove all traces of dirt and a rust from the place of a krepleniyaantenna.

3. Tie up a cable of the new antenna to a string and involve it in a body element.
4. Further installation is made as it should be the return to an order of dismantle of components.

The antenna with an electrodriving mast

Implementation of this procedure will require the help of the assistant.

The system contains the relay. If the drive of the antenna ceased to function, first of all, check the relay. Э / the drive motor seldom fails.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. If disconnected, connect the rechargeable battery and turn the ignition key in position of LOCK.
2. Give a nut of fastening of the basis of an antenna mast (address an illustration above).
3. Further one person has to be in interior of the car, the second – to hold an antenna mast. Ask the assistant to press at the same time the AM/FM button on the control panel of the radio receiver and to turn the ignition key in the provision of ASS, the antenna mast has to move forward at all length of the course then it can be disconnected from a driving electric motor. Remove a mast, leave the ignition key in the provision of ASSORTMENT.

4a. Remove a loker of protection of a wheel arch of the corresponding wing of the car (see the Head Kuzov) and an otboltita from a wing an electric motor of the drive of an antenna mast. Completely extend an antenna cable outside, having left the string which is tied up to it passed throughout an opening in a body element (address an accompanying illustration).

4b. Release three clamps and remove the panel of facing of a wheel arch, then give a fixing bolt and remove a driving electric motor (address an accompanying illustration).

5. Tie up a cable of the new antenna to the left string passed through the body panel and involve it back in interior of the car.
6. Establish an electric motor of the drive of an antenna mast on the regular place.
7. Establish an antenna mast, having developed a cable the gear party on the car forward.
8. Turn the ignition key in position of LOCK, the cable has to be winded, and the mast, to be involved in a wing.

If the key for any reason was earlier transferred from the provision of ASS to position of LOCK, repeat the procedure described in paragraph 8. If at turn of a key in situation the LOCK cable does not begin to be taken up, move it on an entrance to the mechanism that the lower end was developed and was taken by the coil.

9. Screw a nut of fastening of the basis of an antenna mast even if the last was not up to the end involved in the wing panel. The mast has to be involved finally at a nazhimaniye on any of buttons of the choice of radio frequency range on the control panel of the radio receiver.
10. Further installation is made as it should be the return to an order of dismantle of components.
