Fusible inserts – the general information
Fusible inserts are used for protection of chains in which for any reason usual safety locks, such as a contour of system of ignition, and also for power chains in which the high-ampere current circulates cannot be used.
In more detail the fusible inserts of usual type described below are used on models of early years of release, inserts of cartridge type began to be applied later. Cartridge fusible inserts are placed in the assembly block of safety locks/relay located in a motive compartment and externally look as large safety locks; their replacement is made in a similar manner (see the Section Safety locks - the general information), with only that difference that it is previously necessary to disconnect a negative wire from the battery. For fixing of some fusible inserts the screw which before extraction of an element needs to be turned out is used.

The failed fusible inserts of usual type are not subject to recovery repair. Track that the replaceable element completely corresponded on the rating data failed. Replacement is made in the following order:
- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

- Disconnect a fusible insert from an electrical wiring plait;
- Bite off with Bokorezami an insert from a wire directly behind the socket;
- Smooth out isolation of an electrical wiring, having bared the conductor on the site about 13 mm;
- Rearrange the socket on a new fusible insert and, having twisted an electrical wiring, establish assembly on the regular place;
- Properly to a propayayta and carefully insulate electrical wiring joints;
- Connect a negative wire to the battery and make sure of serviceability of functioning of the corresponding electric contour.
