Removal and installation of a latch of the lock of a cowl and cable of its drive

The models of cars considered in the present manual are equipped with system of additional safety (SRS). Before starting performance of any works near the block of a safety cushion, a steering column or the dashboard, disconnect SRS in order to avoid getting injured at its casual operation (see. Onboard electric equipment). It is easy to distinguish an electrical wiring of a chain of SRS on yellow color of isolation.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a decorative front grille (see the Section Removal and installation of a decorative front grille).

2. Lead round assembly of a latch a marker or a chertilka for the purpose of a guarantee of correctness of its installation at assembly. Turn out fixing bolts (address an illustration) and remove a latch from a basic beam of a radiator.

3. Having wrung out a latch, disconnect from it a driving cable.
4. Installation is made upside-down. For adjustment of the lock release fixing bolts and as appropriate correct the provision of a latch. Track reliability of tightening of fixture.
5. For replacement of a driving cable "walk" on it from a latch to a partition of a motive compartment, releasing from all provided intermediate clamps and guides of arms.

6. Pass into salon and remove the left section of the lower finishing of the dashboard (see the Section Removal and installation finishing and the main dashboards of sections). Separate the cowl lock otpuskaniye lever from the dashboard (address an accompanying illustration).

7. Separate a tip of a driving cable from the lever.
8. Tie up a piece of a string by the end of a cable and involve assembly in a motive compartment.
9. Untie a cable from the left string passed through a partition.
10. Installation is made upside-down.
